Browlift or forehead lift is a cosmetic procedure most often performed among men and women from ages 40s to 60s. It aims to correct drooping or sagging eyebrows and improve deep forehead creases, furrows or frown lines that can make a person look angry, sad, tired or concerned. After the surgery, you will look refreshed, friendlier and youthful, plus with better vision.

“Although the effects of aging is a factor in the cause of drooping, sagging and wrinkling of the skin in the eyebrows and forehead, more and more younger adults between 25 to 35 are having premature deep frown lines due to stress and over-activity of the muscles. Young adults who have low forehead (acquired genetically) can also benefit from browlift. So contrary to what people believe, browlift is not just for old adults,” explains Dr. Alonzo.

The browlift surgery

A browlift procedure is surgically lifting the forehead area to restore the eyebrows to the natural position. Considerably it can change the look without doing eyelid surgery, but it will give best results if it is done simultaneously. During this procedure, removing the muscle that causes them can also soften the frown lines. This procedure takes about one and two hours and is done in the clinics surgical area. It is performed under local anesthesia as an outpatient basis or general anesthesia with or without hospital stay. Dr. Alonzo will just recommend the best for you.
