DR. Benjamin Alonzo is the head surgeon who performs all cosmetic procedures at Beaufaces. His son, Dr. Benz Alonzo is the assistant surgeon of Beaufaces. They are assisted by licensed and skilled nurses and an experienced anesthesiologist. In your initial consultation, we will discuss your recommended surgery, the procedure, expected outcome, risks and limitations in detail.
What cosmetic surgery procedures does dr. Alonzo specialize in?
With Dr. Alonzo’s over 30+ years of experience and the thousands of patients he has already operated, he is already an expert in all cosmetic surgery procedures. But his most common procedures are penile enhancement, gynecomastia reduction, underarm sweating reduction, lip reduction and nose lift.
Am I a candidate for cosmetic surgery?
A personal consultation is very important. Dr. Alonzo can answer this question upon evaluation of the patient. There are many things to consider like physical and emotional stress, psychiatric conditions and medical illness. The best candidate should be in a good physical and mental health, not going through major life stress, with realistic expectations, can understand the risks involved, willing to follow the pre- and post- operative instructions and lastly motivated by the desire of looking better.
Where will the procedure be done?
Minor cosmetic surgery procedures are done in the clinic on an outpatient basis. However, major cosmetic procedures like breast enhancements, body contouring and facelift are done in the hospital and we require an overnight stay for good and safe monitoring.
What am I going to do before my surgery?
We advise to stop taking the following for 1 to 2 weeks before the surgery as they can increase bleeding:
- Vitamin E
- Fish oil
- Anti- depressant drugs
- Diet pills
Smoking should also be stopped 2 weeks before surgery because this is detrimental to healing. For breast surgery patients a mammogram test result is required before the surgery. A laboratory test is mandatory before the following major surgeries:
- Tummy Tuck
- Breast Augmentation
- Breast Reduction
- Buttocks Augmentation
Review the consent and after care instructions. For faster healing, we recommends an excellent nutrition, adequate rest and takes vitamin C.
What kind of anesthesia will I have for my surgery?
Dr. Alonzo will discuss which type of anesthesia is appropriate according to the length and difficulty of the procedures, patient’s health and preferences. Minor surgeries are completed under local anesthesia while major procedures entails general anesthesia which patients are completely asleep during the surgery and remember nothing of the experience.
When will the bandages and stitches be removed?
Bandages placed at the surgery area will be removed 3 days after, while the stitches will be removed 5 to 10 days after, depending on the type of surgery done.
How long can I recover from my surgery?
Recovery period depends primarily on the procedure, and how quickly you heal. Most of the patients are able to resume light activity within 3 to 5 days, and moderate activity after 7 to 10 days. Applying ice packs and warm compress can reduce the days of swelling and bruising.
How long will the enhancement last?
Medical and technological breakthroughs have made aesthetic improvements more lasting as well as safer and faster. And with proper care, your surgery can truly be an investment to last a lifetime.
What are the risks and complications of undergoing the knife?
Like in any other surgical operation, there may be bleeding, infection, scarring, slow healing, changes in skin sensation and pain. However, the clinics always take all necessary measures to avoid and minimize these risks.
Your safety and well-being is a main concern of Beaufaces. And with a policy of HONESTY, we will help you understand the procedure and the risks involved in your recommended treatment.
How much will my surgery cost?
Again, advances in the field have resulted in many advantages that we pass on to our patients. While the quality of our services has gone up, prices have gone down.
Beaufaces continues to design payment programs and treatment packages to make the benefits of cosmetic surgery available to everyone.
